EXPLANATION

The purpose of the sludge dewatering unit is to reduce the amount of water contained in the sludge. The sludge comes to the unit with a solids content of 3%, reaching a solids content of 22% at the end of the unit. During this process, chemicals are added to the sludge. This material reduces the amount of water in the sludge. The sludge with increased solids content occupies less volume and is more easily transportable.

Belt Press is preferred especially in city and organized industrial zone treatment plants due to its continuous working system, low energy consumption and high capacity. Belt Presses are high capacity equipments which dewaters using the pressure based cloth by the squeezing pressure of the drums.
