Fast Slow Mixers
These are the structures where chemical substances are mixed into water and uniformly distributed. Since the efficiency of the mixture is directly related to the turbulence created, maximum turbulence with minimum power consumption should be ensured.
Flocculation is the process of slowly mixing together destabilized small flocks as a result of the coagulation process and the formation of large flocks that can settle rapidly.
Slow mixing is performed by mechanical mixing, air mixing or hydraulic mixing processes. Mechanical mixers are mostly preferred mixers. The most common of the mechanical mixers are pedal circular mixers, and turbine and propeller mixers are also used.
