Biological Package Treatment Systems

CATEGORIES

Package treatment plants designed by BKT Treatment are based on the principle of “sequential batch biological reactor (SBR)". The sequential batch reactor operates with the logic of fill-treat-discharge.

Package treatment system consists of balancing pool, ventilation tank(biological reactor), wastewater lift pump, blower, diffuser system, treated water discharge pump, chlorine pump and automation panel.

The wastewater is first collected in the balancing pool, passing through the grid. The grate ensures that large sized solids which can exist in the wastewater and can damage the equipment are filtered.

The Balancing pool is used to provide homogeneous water delivery to the plant by balancing the wastewater flow rate and pollutant concentration. The wastewater lift pump, pumps the water into the biological reactor within the defined time intervals and the blower runs automatically for a certain period of time. Within that period, purification process is carried out by microorganisms. After the aeration process, the system enters the rest phase in order to settle the active sludge. After the active sludge has settled to the bottom, the purified clarified water remaining on the upper part is discharged from the system by discharge pump. Disinfection is carried out by dosing chlorine during discharge.

All the mentioned operations are performed automatically by PLC based control panel.
